Tasmania is very beautiful island. It has a very diverse landscape comprising rugged mountains (snow capped in winter) and lakes, dense rainforest, fantastic beaches with white sands, beautiful coastline and tranquil rural countryside. The beauty and uniqueness of Tasmania gives it so much to offer and it has become very popular with tourists. It might be a small island, but 3 days, would not even begin to let you see everything there is to see. You would need at least two 2 weeks to start to appreciate some of it. Approximately 40 per cent of the state is made up of National Parks, half of this area being World Heritage Listed temperate wilderness on the west coast.
