FUN at the BEACH In the "Land Down Under" at the bottom of the World !

Tasmania is MUCH MORE than just TAZ, the Tasmania Devil, Warner Bros 'lovable' cartoon character.
Tasmania is very beautiful island. It has a very diverse landscape comprising rugged mountains (snow capped in winter) and lakes, dense rainforest, fantastic beaches with white sands, beautiful coastline and tranquil rural countryside. The beauty and uniqueness of Tasmania gives it so much to offer and it has become very popular with tourists. It might be a small island, but 3 days, would not even begin to let you see everything there is to see. You would need at least two 2 weeks to start to appreciate some of it. Approximately 40 per cent of the state is made up of National Parks, half of this area being World Heritage Listed temperate wilderness on the west coast. Cape Grim Weather Station, Tasmania… boasts “The Cleanest Air in the World”

Airlines run a busy daily schedule and service 4 main airports in Tasmania. Burnie / Wynyard, Devonport, Launceston & Hobart.
The overnight FERRY, the Spirit of Tasmania operates between Melbourne and Devonport (Tasmania), It sails daily from both locations most nights and it is an overnight trip. Step on board and relax! (See Video of this exciting FERRY)

In most parts of USA at this time of the year, it's cold & snowing.
BUT what is it like in Australia?.... It is Summer time here.

We are having hot, sunny weather and people are flocking to our splendid beaches & revelling in many the water sports & activities.

On a different scene, in many parts of Australia, the flowers & the gardens are magnificent.
I want to share with you, a very short VIDEO of a world class, beautiful garden...the Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens...garden tour Tasmania.

This beautiful Rhododenron Gardens is one of the major scenic attractions of Burnie, Tasmania. It is a stunning public garden on 13 hectares/32 acres & contains over 22000 select rhododendron. It has been developed on a 13 hectare natural amphitheatre and features: an American Gazebo, Japanese Covered Bridge, Cafe, Tea Room, Main Gazebo and more.

Have a look at this 90 second VIDEO and enjoy... Mary the Supergranny

In addition to the hybrid rhododendrons familiar to gardeners, you can see many wild species rhododendrons planted to reflect their geographical origins - from Asia Minor, across the Himalayas to China, Japan and to North America.
