Veteran Car...SPANNING over 100 YEARS.

I live in Tasmania, Australia, WAY WAY “Down Under” BUT right here at the bottom of the World, in our little town Wynyard..is the home to the world’s OLDEST Ford Car in the World. This equal oldest 1903 Model A Ford car has been fully and beautifully restored by Francis Ransley and is on display at the Wonders Of Wynyard Exhibition centre. Yesterday, I went and visited Francis Ransley at his home. I found he had just completed restoring a 1918 Jelbart Tractor.

Today, I am going to post a video featuring Francis & the OLDEST Ford model A car in the world. The restoration of this 106 year old magnificent vehicle is a beauty to behold. The Video is self explanatory and is a very interesting story. Next week, my post will feature Francis Ransley & the newly restored, 91 year old Jelbart Veteran Tractor...including amazing BEFORE and AFTER photos.

SPIRIT of Tasmania Ferry, is more a CRUISE ship than a ferry. Watch the video & you'll see.

Sailing on the FERRY, the Spirit of Tasmania, is an overnight trip. With Spirit of Tasmania you can experience all the fun and excitement of sea travel. Feel your holiday start the moment you step on board and relax!

There are 2 Ferries, The Spirit of Tasmania I and Spirit of Tasmania II — They are more cruise ships than ferries — with sleeping accommodation & a variety of amenities and features such as restaurants, bars, shop etc to make the Bass Strait crossing a pleasant experience.

When it comes to exploring the great outdoors, Tasmania has it all. From soaring mountains and untamed wilderness to spectacular coastlines and deep river gorges, spectacular beauty.
There are few places where you can lose yourself in the thick of the world’s last temperate wilderness, discover towering waterfalls and rugged mountains, or leave a solitary trail of footprints on pristine white sand before taking a dip at one of the world’s best beaches … all in one day.

In Tasmania, it’s possible to do all this and more.
Thanks to its compact size, most of the state’s natural beauty spots are within relatively easy reach. Tasmania is a unique and beautiful island to explore. Its rich history takes visitors on a wild trip, covering prehistoric rock formations, untamed wilderness, ancient Aboriginal sites, European settlement and a convict period – before discovering modern day Tasmania.
